"The Price of Glee" recalls the period of time preceding Cory Monteith's terrible overdose, which resulted in his passing.

A cast member of "Glee" may have been to responsible for his relapse right before his passing, according to the new documentary series, as reported by The Daily Beast.

A relapse that occurred just weeks before Cory's death caused his terrible death in 2013 as well. He claims that his co-star in the popular musical drama pushed him to try consuming alcohol at a party.

It was revealed in the series that Cory "resented" the concept of using alcohol, but he was coerced into doing so by his co-star, setting him on "a path to disaster."

The "Glee" cast members Mark Salling and Naya Rivera's untimely deaths will be covered in the ID series, along with the criticism Lea Michele receivedand Melissa Benoist's allegations of domestic violence against Blake Jenner.

The first two parts of the three-part documentary series, "The Price of Glee," state that it provides background information on Cory Monteith's unexpected death from the viewpoints of those who knew him well, including roommates, friends, and close acquaintances.

The shocking assertion, though, comes from Dugg Kirkpatrick, Cory's hairstylist from Season 3. He suggested that Cory's relapse may be related to one anonymous " Glee " cast member.

The hair specialist also asserted that most of the guys continued to come to him for haircuts after he left the show, including Cory, who made an appointment with Dugg just a few weeks before his passing.

Cory was "clean all the way up until he asked" for the haircut, according to Dugg in the documentary.

"He wasn't drinking, and there was nothing illegal in his system. However, by the time I met him for the very final time, in only a few days, he had changed. He was drinking too much, sober."

After Cory quit the show, Dugg said they stayed friends and that the actor regularly confided in him about his troubles while he was still filming the series.

However, their last haircut appointment was reportedly one of the most uncomfortable.

"He said he was at a party and hadn't been drinking, and he wanted to have a drink, but he knew he shouldn't."

"He was told by a certain cast member that night, 'If you want to have a drink, you should have a drink. I'll be here, you can trust that I'll always be here.'"

Due to the fact that another close friend apparently wouldn't say such to anybody sober, Dugg advised Cory that his choice was incorrect. Cory had, after all, only recently completed his rehabilitation program.

"That baffled him and enraged him. But he did, and he began drinking after receiving approval from a loved one.

He despised that, but he also took the direction, Dugg said. It led him down a path of ruin.
