Boldy James' Career Explored
James already expressed his love for music when he was 12. At that time, he performed in a talent show in middle school and started writing his first rap afterward.
He officially started his career in 2009 when he got two features on the songs "BBQ Wings" and "Tires" on The Cool Kids and Don Cannon's mixtape, "Merry Christmas." He then appeared with his record, "Getting Flicked," on The Cool Kids' "Tacklebox" mixtape.
In 2010, he got featured in more music by several artists, including Big Sean, Chuck Inglish, Dom Kenney, and Asher Roth.
His EPs and studio albums include "My 1st Chemistry Set," "Manger on McNichols," "Super Tecmo Bo," Killing Nothing," "Be That As It May," "Grand Quarters," "Boldface," "The Art of Rock Climbing," and "ADU."

Amid his fruitful career, James admitted to The Detroit News in 2015 that he sold drugs when he was a young child. He reportedly started drinking at a young age, as well.
According to the rapper, he ran away from home when he was 11 and began sleeping in abandoned houses and even cars. After striving hard, he finally made his own family and started enjoying life.
"This is a dream come true," he said. "I'm not filthy rich, but just to be removed from the ghetto and be able to travel and see other cities, other states and how they rock, how they get down, I get to appreciate the simple things in life.
