Noel Gallagher clarified that he is not closing the doors for the potential Oasis reunion.
Oasis fans celebrated early again after they created a buzz about the band's possible comeback following Gallagher and Sara MacDonald's split. The now-ex-couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in New Forest, England, in June 2011 after meeting in 2000 at a nightclub in Ibiza.
They share two sons, Donovan and Sonny.
Although the musician once said "there is no point" for a reunion, he also shared at that time that it would need "a set of extraordinary circumstances" before Oasis members perform together again.
The long wait seemed to be finally over after Gallagher offered a cryptic statement.
In his recent interview with BBC Radio Manchester before the release of his "High Flying Birds" album, Gallagher mentioned the "circumstances" again but added that no one should never say never.
"It's going back to the beginning - daydreaming, looking up at the sky and wondering about what life could be," he said, per BBC. "That's as true to me now as it was in the early 90s when I was growing up in poverty and unemployment. Music took me out of that."
Gallagher added he wants his music to be transforming and elevating in some way.
Noel Gallagher Still Passionate About Music
Oasis disbanded in 2009 after performing for 18 years. Gallagher notably left the band amid his rivalry with his brother and bandmate, Liam.
According to Gallagher, the breakup was the best thing for him and the band since he felt that people had already stopped listening to Oasis' records. Although they had hit songs, he reportedly did not want people to see him in that position for a long time. He also called himself "useless at everything else."
Although he thought he could not do anything else in his life, Gallagher admitted in his recent interview that he is still passionate about music, including writing and its creative process.
He explained that he loves creating something out of nothing that playing it to fans afterward. For the musician, it was something that kept him going.
With that, he admitted he never saw Oasis as a burden. Instead, he saw it as a blessing to be able to perform on stage.
