Despite the fact that Aaron Carter had been dead for two months, his estate suddenly received a sizable bill.
The former child star's Lancaster, California house was the subject of biohazard cleaning operations last year, according to court records obtained by The Blast. They said that they owe thousands of dollars.
On the house that the late singer and his ex-fiancée Melanie Martin formerly shared, the business put up a "mechanic's lien." The latter, though, has since left the house.
"Labor, services, equipment, and/or materials within the premises, and upon every estate or interest in such buildings and improvements," according to Sterile Pros, were delivered.
Additionally, they added, "Aaron C. Although his fiance was mentioned in the contract, Carter is identified as the property's owner.
Now that they have completed the tasks and collected the supplies at Aaron's or Melanie's instruction, they are demanding payment from his estate, which is reportedly worth $550,000.
The mechanic's lien must be paid off before the estate of the "I'm All About You" singer can sell the house where he was discovered dead.
According to the early reports, 34-year-old Aaron Carter passed away on November 5, 2022, at his house. His housekeeper discovered him in the tub.
He was cremated a week later. A formal cause of death has not yet been established, though.
In the meanwhile, Aaron's mother and fiancee told TMZ they didn't believe the singer-actor drowned to death.
After learning that water was not discovered in his lungs during a postmortem test, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office stated that he was sold a chemical that resulted in a lethal overdose.
While they wait for the toxicology findings, Jane Carter and Melanie Martin are eliminating drowning as a likely cause of death.

After discovering compressed air cans and prescription drugs at the site, police insiders theorized that he lost consciousness and drowned.
The stench of decomposition and the strange hue of the water suggested that the father-of-body one's had been in the tub for some time.
Melanie also told TMZ that she discovered texts from an anonymous person informing the musician he owed $800 for an unidentified drug.
The "Summertime" singer said that he no longer need it, which prompted the individual to reiterate their assertions that he still owed money.
The conversation came to an end when Aaron questioned whether he was under threat. Aaron later told the police about the conversation and provided it as proof.
Aaron could have met the person he was messaging and consumed a drug that ultimately killed him, according to the whole Carter family.
