Taylor Swift isn't stopping anytime soon as many fans suspect that a new "Taylor's Version" album will be released soon after dropping her latest music video for the song "Lavender Haze;" which era is she going to explore next?
The pop star's track from the album "Midnights" recently got its music video treatment and Swifties immediately went full-on investigator mode as they pointed out several easter eggs and hidden messages spread throughout the visuals that seemingly hints about her next major project.
In the latest music video, Billboard reported that there was one part when the "Hits Different" songstress reached out into a TV screen which was later revealed as a portal to a new dimension that featured trippy visuals like koi fishes swimming through the night sky.
For fans who have been supporting Swift since the beginning of her career, many of them immediately knew the symbolism of the friendly sea creatures as the fishes looked similar to the ones printed at the singer's blue acoustic guitar that she used during her "Speak Now" era.
"WAIT I THINK WERE GETTING SPEAK NOW TV ALL THE KOI FISH AND HER SPEAK NOW ERA GUITAR HAD KOI ON IT. PLUS THE SAME GUITAR WAS IN ANTI-HERO," one wrote.
Some fans alleged that the musician might drop "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" on July 7 because it's National Koi Day, which falls on the same day of her concert in Missouri.
As of this writing, Swift has not publicly confirmed whether the speculations are true or not. She and her team have also not announced the official release date of her next project.
Not The First Time Taylor Swift Teased About 'Speak Now (Taylor's Version)'
Swift loves teasing her fans by dropping easter eggs in her music videos or even social media posts. The last time fans noticed the pop star drop hints was when she released the music video for "Bejeweled" in October.
The outlet noted that the shot of multi-colored elevator buttons represents all the eras of the musician. In the end, she pressed a purple-colored button which is associated with the album "Speak Now."
If ever the Grammy Award-winning artist decides to drop the said album, it would be the third "Taylor's Version" release of the six records she initially planned.
In 2021, she dropped both "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" and "Red (Taylor's Version)"
