Rihanna is finally marking her comeback at the Super Bowl Halftime Show 2023 after her long break.
The trailer for the upcoming Super Bowl hyped fans one month before the big event as it showed a sneak peek of Rihanna's performance. Her appearance will be historic as it is the first ever to be sponsored by Apple Music.
Part of the trailer featured angry media voices who demanded Rihanna's comeback as she has not been releasing new music since her 2016 album, "Anti." But in October, she released her first song in seven years that served as the "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" soundtrack.
Ahead of the show, a source told People in the magazine's recent issue that the "Lift Me Up" hitmaker has been preparing so much for her fans.
"She is ready for the Super Bowl," said the source. "She is rehearsing right now. She's very excited, ready and focused. She can't wait to kill it."
The insider mentioned the singer's most amazing year, saying 2022 was extra special as she took a long break to focus on her baby boy. The name of Rihanna's baby is yet to be revealed to the public.
Although she has not worked on new music in the past years, the "Dancing In The Dark" crooner is said to be fortunate she was able to slow down and "just be a mom."
Her husband, A$AP Rocky, also expressed his excitement to see Rihanna's Super Bowl performance. He told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 that he feels glad his "lady" is getting back out there.
Rihanna's Super Bowl Halftime Show 2023 appearance will mark her first public performance since the 2018 Grammys.
