Beyoncé snagged one of the biggest awards at the Grammys last Sunday and many fans were happy for her achievement. However, one of the audience members, Diplo, seemingly reacted differently. More recently, the famed record producer finally spoke out to reveal the context behind his reaction.
According to Pitchfork, Queen Bey won the Best Dance/Electronic Music Album for her record "Renaissance." The DJ, who has worked with the pop star a few times in the past, was also nominated in the same category.
At the time when Beyoncé was announced as the winner, many fans noticed Diplo at the live telecast seemingly blurting out the words "they bought that" as he claps along with the crowd.
Today, the musician took to his official Instagram account to express his gratitude to his fans for their love and support amid his first time being nominated in the category as well as address the issue with the singer.
He started by saying his post, which featured several photos and videos of numerous artists and partygoers, is to honor the dance music community.
"Grammy night was great night for all of us. Dance music has and will be the most Inclusive music of our generation," he continued.

He added that it's right for the category to be televised after not being shown in the ceremony proper for years, adding that the nominees—him, Beyoncé, Bonobo, Odesza, and Rüfüs du Sol—was one of the strongest lineups for the genre.
Further into his post, he expressed his admiration for the "Alien Superstar" hitmaker, saying her album "Renaissance" was legendary and he's been a "stan" for years as he produced some of her hits like "End of Time" and "Girls (Run The World)."
"she did the work found the real producers and she made classics .. so she deserves her flowers," he added.
Regarding his reaction at the Grammys, he shared a video clip of himself from the crowd and added a subtitle that reads, "I'm glad to be a part of this," contrary to what other people allege that he said, "they bought this."
As of this writing, Beyoncé has yet to react to Diplo's recent post. Other albums nominated in the category were "Fragments," "Diplo," "The Last Goodbye," and "Surrender."
