Fat Joe has been candid about his thoughts on the 2023 Grammy Awards, especially on Bonnie Raitt's Song of the Year win.
Fat Joe was present on Music's Biggest Night mainly to support his friends and collaborators on the 50th Year celebration of Hip-hop at the show.
Meanwhile, days after the ceremony, Joey took to Instagram Live and spoke his mind about the results of the awarding ceremony.
He took a dig at Bonnie Raitt's Song of the Year win with "Just Like That," one of the biggest surprises.
"Just Like That" beat out Billboard Hot 100 chart toppers like Beyonce's "Break My Soul," Harry Styles' "As It Was," Taylor Swift's "All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version)," and even Adele's "Easy On Me," among many others.
The Song of the Year win came as a surprise to Raitt herself, whose streaming activity surged following her controversial win at the coveted category.
As for Fat Joe, he believes The Recording Academy and the Grammys did this on purpose.
"The thing that does bug me out is when a woman who I don't really know wins Song of the Year. I remember the time 50 Cent sold 30 million records. I was at the Grammy's, we wasn't getting along, but he lost to somebody I never heard of," he said in the now-viral video.

For Joey, he believed the Grammys do that "thing" on purpose. He also made a dig on Samara Joy, winning Best New Artist, a budding jazz musician from the Bronx, beating out Colombian superstar Anitta, Eurovision winner Måneskin, and even BET Best New Artist Latto.
"These are things that leave you like, and they always do it. They got it wrong one year, they got it wrong two years, they got it wrong three years. It's consistently they do this. So this a trademark," he furthered.
Last year, the Grammy surprised its viewers when Jon Batiste won Album of the Year with his album, "WE." It beat out Doja Cat's "Planet Her," Justin Bieber's "Justice," Olivia Rodrigo's "SOUR," and Taylor Swift's "Evermore," among many others.
"They feel like if it ain't broke, don't fix it. We're gonna jerk at least two people that should win," he added.
Aside from Bonnie Raitt's controversial win, Harry Styles' "Harry's House" winning Album of the Year also sparked backlash on social media, who believed Beyonce's "Renaissance" or Bad Bunny's "Un Verano Sin Ti" deserved to win the coveted award.
