Is Elton John facing health issues amid his successful Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour?
John's friends are currently worried about the singer's health after he regained the weight he previously lost. Radar Online cited an unnamed source, claiming that the 75-year-old has been wearing girdles to "hide" his body's condition and appear slimmer.
The insider added that the "I'm Still Standing" crooner needs to adjust himself to fit into his clothes by wearing corsets and shapewear. His weight gain shocked the public as he has been open about dieting for years.
However, the source claimed he had filled himself with all his favorite foods, including pasta, desserts, and bread. This, unfortunately, makes him weigh more than 200 pounds.
"Everyone was so proud of him when he dropped 40 pounds, but he's gained every ounce back - and more," the source continued.
The weight gain could reportedly affect his deteriorating health, as John previously faced pneumonia and prostate cancer. He also began using a pacemaker to manage his type 2 diabetes.
Following the source's statement, Dr. Gabe Mirkin - who is not directly connected to the "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" musician - said that John's 200-pound weight is mostly in his belly. He added that he believes the singer suffers from a fatty liver.
Dr. Mirkin warned him that diabetes could only be cured by lifestyle, assuming that his doctors definitely told him about it already.
Aside from Elton John's health issues in the past and present, the doctor said the singer is at high risk of suffering a heart attack because of his unhealthy lifestyle.
This, however, should be taken with a grain of salt as John has not opened up about his health and weight in the past years since his 2021 interview.
What Elton John Said About His Weight
Before the recent buzz emerged, the "Skyline Pigeon" hitmaker appeared in an interview with Troy Deeney during an episode of his "Deeney Talks" podcast.
At that time, John admitted he always had weight and body issues but already reached his "fittest" moment.

"I'm probably the fittest I've been in a long, long time, and I feel great. There's no point in moaning about it, no point in moaning about being overweight. You've got to do something about it," he said.
John disclosed that he never liked looking at himself because he believes he does not have a good body image. Thus, he refuses to watch himself on video and shows he appeared on.
