Rihanna has been teasing her next album for years and has now given fans a taste of what to anticipate from R9; however, will we finally hear new music from RiRi in 2023? Unfortunately, it was not announced or revealed during her recently concluded Super Bowl Halftime performance, which was quite epic, btw.

Rihanna's most recent album, 'ANTI,' was released in 2016, thus RiRi owes fans new music and a new album, right? The 'Work' actress, who welcomed her first child with boyfriend A$AP Rocky in May of last year, eventually released her first song in six years with 'Lift Me Up' for the "Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever" soundtrack, swiftly followed by 'Born Again', and fans are now wishing for a new album more than ever.

Could R9 be released in 2023 was the question before this SuperBowl event? But for now, the answer is still maybe, maybe not.

Rihanna had worked so hard on what she promised would be "a jam-packed concert" for her Super Bowl halftime performance that her forthcoming birthday and Valentine's Day almost slipped her mind. It was obvious, given how great the outcome is.

"The setlist was the biggest challenge. That was the hardest, hardest part. Deciding how to maximize 13 minutes but also celebrate - that's what this show is going to be. It's going to be a celebration of my catalog in the best way that we could have put it together," Rihanna said.

At a media preview on Thursday ahead of Sunday's game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, the pop superstar and new mother stated that her appearance feels "like it could have only happened now." The singer stated she was first hesitant to perform when she was three months postpartum because she questioned, "Should I be making such significant decisions at this time? I may come to regret this."

Rihanna, who has won nine Grammy Awards, has fourteen No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 singles, including "We Found Love," "Work," "Umbrella," and "Disturbia."

Recently, she and the rapper A$AP Rocky welcomed her first kid.

Fans need not worry about Rihanna having no new music though. Following her interview with Vogue, the outlet reported that Robyn R. Fenty registered a new song titled "Private Loving" with the music-rights organization BMI few weeks later. She may not have picked the 2023 Super Bowl to make the announcement. It was still an impressive performance!
