PinkPantheress and Ice Spice have been taking over social media over the past few weeks as their remix collaboration "Boy's a Liar Pt. 2" was used countless of times on TikTok videos and many fans commend the duo for the addictive candy-pop tune of their track. The big question is; how did they team up together?

Fans have been gushing over the two artists on Twitter as they're obsessed with the collaborative track, with one fan writing, "Boys a Liar makes me feel like I'm a teenager again in my room blasting the radio dancing around."

"boy's a liar pt. 2 been playing in my head all day like i'm actually so obsessed with this version," another one wrote, while another one expressed, "i'm so obsessed with boys a liar pt. 2 ... i genuinely cannot listen to anything else it's so damn addictive."

Some users also compared Ice Spice to other musicians like Doja Cat, saying her popularity will skyrocket in the near future, "I'm going to call it now. Give it a lil time and Ice Spice is going to surpass Doja Cat in popularity."

Pink Pantheress, Ice Spice 'Boy's a Liar Pt. 2' Remix Origin: How Did The Collab Happen?

According to Rolling Stone, the part two of the hit song, co-produced with Mura Masa, didn't change anything with its instrumental part as the beats and background music sounds the same with PinkPantheress' original version.

Nearing the end of the track, Ice Spice, who's a rising artist within the rap industry in recent months, drops her verse about a two-timing man.

Speaking to NME, 22-year-old British pop artist PinkPantheress said the collaboration began on social media interaction. Although she doesn't use Instagram that much, the musician said Ice Spice followed her and she thought it was cool because "I didn't think she even knew who I was."

PinkPantheress shoots her shot and sent a direct message to the rapper, telling her she'd like to meet up when she goes to the United Kingdom.

"I think she's really cool, above the music and everything. She said she was a fan [of mine], and I was like, 'OK, amazing," she added.

Elsewhere in the conversation, the rising pop star said she often collaborates with other artists on remixes because she's not a fan of repurposing songs just "to make it biggeer." However, she made an exception with "Boy's a Liar Pt. 2" because she believes the rapper's flow would be a perfect combination for her vocals.

The original track is a part of PinkPantheress' most recent project, an EP titled "Take Me Home." On the other hand, Ice Spice also dropped an EP titled "Like...?"
