Kodak Black's return to rehab might be postponed as his lawyer is contesting the validity of the drug test that was conducted that led to the judge's decision to send him on one.

According to AllHiphop, Kodak Black allegedly violated the conditions of his pretrial release, prompting the judge to send him to rehab for 30 days.

The publication reported that Kodak Black, formally known as Bill Kapri, failed to submit a drug test to the court on February 3. But upon taking the test on February 8, he tested positive for Fentanyl, thus the arrest warrant.

Because of the Fentanyl positive drug test, Kapri's bail conditions have been violated. In July 2022, the Pompano Beach native was arrested for possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and drug trafficking.

31 oxycodone pills were nabbed by authorities in his car, while around $70,000 of cold cash was also confiscated. He paid $75,000 bail and was placed under the strict condition that he stayed sober from drugs.

However, because of the positive test, he will now be forced to be sent to rehab before his trial.

Meanwhile, his judge, Bradford Cohen, has contested the validity of the drug test, arguing that it was only some lab mix-up, maintaining his client's innocence.

He also debunked a Local News 10 report saying that Kodak Black has refused to do a hair drug test.

"Of course channel 10 got it wrong. No one refused a hair sample. Pretrial does not provide hair sample services. But I am glad @kodakblack will get an opportunity to take a break from his hectic schedule and focus on his physical health," he said in an Instagram post.

More so, Cohen noted that Kapri was a "great kid" and a "great philanthropist" because a portion of his Rolling Loud Los Angeles paycheck will go directly to his own scholarship fund that he set up last year - the Meadow Pollack Scholarship Fund at Nova Southeastern Law School.

"You often see news reports that aren't accurate because they want those subscribers, and won't report on the good in the community and the good Kodak does there as well. Doesn't make for a good story," Cohen continued, tagging Channel 10 on his caption.

Kapri will remain free until after March 7, his commitment to Rolling Loud Los Angeles where he will be performing, but after that, he will be entering rehab already, The Miami Herald reports.
