Britney Spears was placed under conservatorship in 2008, after a public breakdown that featured a series of odd behaviors and hospitalizations.
Her father, Jamie Spears, and an attorney, Andrew Wallet, were first chosen as her conservators.
Jamie and Andrew were in charge of Britney's personal and financial issues throughout the conservatorship.
This meant they were in charge of making choices concerning her medical treatment, income, and job. Britney was not permitted to make her own life decisions, and she was expected to have a team of people about her at all times to guarantee her safety and well-being.
Many claims of conservatorship problems have surfaced throughout the years. Several fans and members of the media claimed that the blonde beauty was being detained against her will and that those in charge of the conservatorship were exploiting her.
Britney left her Las Vegas residency in 2019 to join a mental health institution, raising further concerns about her well-being.
In June 2021, Kevin Federline's ex-wife issued a public statement in court, claiming that the conservatorship was oppressive and that she wanted it to terminate.
She also claimed that she was compelled to work against her choice and was barred from having children. Her statement raised concerns about the conservatorship, and a court eventually allowed her plea to appoint a new conservator to replace her father.
Britney's father was formally removed as her conservator in November 2021, and a professional conservator was appointed in his stead.
Ultimately, the "Baby One More Time" singer was released from her conservatorship and granted practically complete freedom to live her life.
Those close to her, on the other hand, have become increasingly concerned about her well-being since her conservatorship ended, and they are in a "race to save" the pop princess before "it's too late."
It was disclosed weeks ago that Britney's loved ones were planning an intervention because they were afraid she might die as a result of her purported troubles with abuse and mental health concerns.
According to sources close to the "Toxic" hitmaker, her conduct has been "flying off the handle" and she is "not taking meds" that might help balance her.
It was also reported that her husband, Sam Asghari, her manager, an interventionist, and physicians would have attended the meeting.
Nevertheless, someone in the mother-of-camp two's may have cancelled their plans at the last minute.
"Britney has everyone worried," one source told Life and Style via Radar Online. "Even though the failure of the first intervention, another is in the works."
Nevertheless, the "Sometimes" singer denied that there was a staged intervention, adding that she does not have a management team and would never have that sort of team in her life again.
Britney then declared on social media, "I'm probably going to have to stop posting on Instagram because even though I enjoy doing it, there's a lot of people who don't wish me well."
"Again, the conservatorship has been over for almost a year ... No folks, it's not 2007 ... it's 2023 and I'm making my first homemade lasagna at home."
