Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber had been all over the headlines for the past few weeks. The internet had been choosing sides on who to side between the two after the latter reportedly shaded the former over her "botched" laminated eyebrows.
Since the drama erupted on the internet, spewing memes and fan theories about the alleged rift between the two, Gomez has since taken a social media detox.
At the end of February 2022, Gomez announced that she would be taking a break from social media amid all the drama saying that she was already 30 and "too old for this."
Among the theories that have been running on the internet is how Justin Bieber's 2021 hit song "Ghost" was allegedly written for Selena Gomez rather than his wife, Hailey. Fans believe that the song mirrors Justin's longing for his ex-girlfriend Selena.
Meanwhile, Justin has since explained that the song was actually a song dedicated to those who were grieving the loss of a loved one, especially during the coronavirus pandemic.
Aside from this, fans have seemingly pointed out how Hailey Bieber has "copied" Gomez on her red carpet styles, on creating her own cosmetic line, even having the letter g tattooed on her left ear the same exact way Selena had for her sister. The list goes on.
The drama erupted when Kylie Jenner posted an Instagram photo of herself with her eyebrows, saying, "this was an accident?" Shortly after, she also shared a photo of Hailey showing their eyebrows. The video came after Selena took to TikTok to show her botched laminated eyebrows.

Kylie and Selena have since brushed off the issue, but fans of Gomez thought that this was the start of a war - which led to videos and photos of Hailey seemingly shading Gomez in many instances in the past.
Since then, people on the internet have been debating and picking sides on who to side - are they Team Selena or Team Hailey, prompting various publications to delve deeper into the ongoing internet saga.
Now, after taking a quick break from social media, Selena has returned to TikTok in a makeup tutorial video showcasing her beauty products, Rare Beauty.

In the comments section, Selena had this to say:
"Thank you and love you all so much. I'm deeply grateful for each and every one of you humans. You make me unbelievably happy," she wrote. "Please, please be kinder and consider others' mental health," she wrote. "My heart has been heavy and I only want good for everyone. All my love."
Would this finally put a pin down on the Selena Gomez, Hailey Bieber drama?
