It's official! Ariana Grande and The Weeknd notched a No. 1 for their newly released version of the song - "Die For You (Remix)."
Initially released in 2016, the song received recent traction and popularity again on TikTok in the past few months. The release of "Die For You (Remix)" came while Ariana Grande was busy filming for the movie adaptation of the musical "Wicked."
The song successfully leaped to No. 1 after the original song was at No. 6 last week, thereby kicking out Miley Cyrus' "Flowers," at No. 2.
According to Billboard and Luminate, the song has racked up 81.1 million radio airplay impressions and more than 32 million streams. It was also downloaded 14,000 times since it was released.
Concurrently, the song now holds the top spot on the Streaming Songs chart, from its last week's position of No. 22. It's also No. 3 in the Digital Songs Sales chart and No. 3 on the Radio Songs chart.
Interestingly, the song became Ariana Grande and The Weeknd's seventh No. 1 song on the chart and their second No. 1 as a duo. "Save Your Tears (Remix)" charted at No. 1 for two weeks in 2021.
