Since taking off in 2021 at the "BBC Sound Of..", PinkPantheress has garnered significant buzz in the music industry as one of the most promising up-and-coming acts in the scene today.
She follows a long list of singers in the UK like Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, HAIM, Adele, Jessie J, and even 50 Cent, who topped the annual BBC poll of music critics and industry figures to find the most promising new music talent.
Who is PinkPantheress?
PinkPantheress, her screen name, has most recently reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, thanks to her link-up with Ice Spice on the TikTok bop "Boys Are Liar Pt 2."
Up until now, PinkPantheress' real name has yet to be revealed. Gaining prominence from TikTok, the singer posted videos of her singing her own written songs.
With the hype that social media has brought her name in the past few months, it was quite a letdown for people to see her perform at the recently concluded South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas.

PinkPantheress SXSW 2023 Performance
In a concert review from Variety, the publication revealed that PinkPantheress SXSW 2023 Performance was "as Dull as the Buzz Is Big" surrounding her name.
The outlet revealed that the line to get into the music festival was long, as everyone was excited to watch the bedroom pop artist perform.
PinkPantheress is one of the most sought-after artists right now as everyone is waiting if she could deliver more after her recent hit.
During PinkPantheress SXSW 2023 Performance, it was reported that she had suffered "an onslaught of tech problems and a general lack of enthusiasm," as she was backed only by a DJ.
But perhaps the most controversial revelation in the concert review was that she was "clearly lip-syncing" on her entire set. She was holding the microphone out at times when her vocals on the speakers seemed to be at full force. The singer even spoke in between songs that people had to lean in closer just to hear her.
"At a festival long known for bringing both artistry and showmanship to the forefront, PinkPantheress' set was an anomaly, but one unfortunately indicative of the era: all hustle and no flow, all shine but no sheen, all tik - but no tok," the review reads.
