Def Leppard's drummer, Rick Allen, was standing outside a Fort Lauderdale hotel when he was suddenly attacked by a 19-year-old.
According to reports, Allen was just smoking a cigarette when the attacker, Max Hartley, came up to him and knocked him over, which resulted in the drummer hitting his head.
After the initial incident, a woman came over to help Allen, but she too was attacked by Hartley. The assailant struck her several times.
When she tried to escape by running into the hotel, he grabbed her by the hair and dragged her back outside.
This is what the report of the incident read: "While she is on the ground, the defendant continues to batter her by striking her. [She] attempts to escape by running into the hotel."
"The defendant then grabs [her] by her hair and drags her out of the lobby and back onto the sidewalk before fleeing the area."
As per Daily Mail UK, Hartley was eventually arrested. Police found him in a nearby parking area, wrecking some cars.

The assailant was eventually arrested, and taken to Broward County jail on Mar. 14, and did not comment on any questions asked of him by reporters on the scene.
Other reports also noted that Hartley was in the area for spring break. He is from Ohio and is part of his high school's varsity lacrosse and football team.
How Did Rick Allen Lose His Arm?
Allen is known not only as a drummer for Def Leppard, but he is also famous for being a one-armed drummer.
He lost his arm in 1984 after a car accident; he was just 21 years old when it happened.
According to Page Six, the drummer's arm got caught in his seatbelt and was severed from his body.
"A lot of my peers, a lot of fans, my family ... a lot of encouragement, they all tried to help lift me up and then finally I got it," he remarked.
"I got to a point where I realized I can do this ... It wasn't until after the fact that I discovered the power of the human spirit and that's what really propelled me to where I am now."
