It looks like Gunna is here to stay and is not going away anytime soon. The rapper's new song seemed to take a jab on the ongoing circulating rumors that he would be leaving YSL Records after his stint in jail following his indictment and eventual plea deal.

The move came on the heels of Young Thug's building anticipation for his upcoming high-profile trial for allegedly conspiring to violate the RICO act of Atlanta, Georgia, among many other felony charges.

Gunna New Song 2023

According to HipHopDX, Brittany Reshun, Gunna's close friend, posted in an Instagram story a snippet of Gunna's new song, which remains untitled as of this writing.

Gunna will be heard on his famous fowl, but what seemed to be very notable was his punchy lyrics, which is also a swift uppercut on the rumors circulating around his already tarnished name in the hip-hop community.

"Heard the rumors said I'm packing up and flying out. We ain't going nowhere I'm staying here, gone fight it out. I meant like f--k it, Let's just give these n***as dark clouds. Been gone for months And I just keep seeing these dark clouds," he rapped on the song. The video has already expired on Reshun's Instagram account but was uploaded on Twitter.

Is Gunna Leaving YSL Records?

Earlier this year, DJ Akademiks seemingly hinted that Gunna is planning to ditch Young Slime Life Records after being entangled in an issue that almost cost him his musical career. He was among the 27 other YSL Associates served with a sweeping indictment in May 2022 for allegedly conspiring to violate the RICO act in Georgia.

"The label side, a lot of people believe that Gunna is going to be seeking to leave YSL just because the relationship is fractured," the controversial DJ elaborated. "It's just no way you go through this and come out on the other side where one guy is apparently looking at decades in jail and you came out in six months with a bad bitch. It's probably not gonna work."

Gunna's name was put in a bad light over the past few months as he took on an Alford plea deal. He basically pleaded guilty to the punishment of the crimes charged to him but has maintained innocence on the charges. He has also claimed that he had never snitched on Young Thug or any other members of the team. However, many people in the community have refused to believe his pronouncements.

Meanwhile, Young Thug is awaiting trial for the charges.
