Young Thug is making use of his jail time to focus on himself. The Atlanta rapper has been behind bars for almost a year now and has kept himself busy from all the stress and controversy surrounding his legal case that has been deemed high profile by many.
Young Thug Update
Thugger, 31, has kept himself physically active and fit despite all of it.
In a photo gathered by Rap TV, Thug has seen all smiles during a video call.
He was flexing his muscles on screen with her sister, Dolly White, proving that he has been doing well and focusing on his physical health while he is booked at Fulton County Jail.
"My heart," White shared on her Instagram stories, which the outlet has picked up.
Fans of the "Power" hitmaker have taken to Twitter to praise the rapper in his current state.
"Bros gonna come out of jail a healthier person than he did walking in," a fan said.
"I know when Thug gets out he's going to be looking like Gucci Mane after his jail sentence in Summer 2013," someone suggested, referencing Gucci Mane's incredible transformation.
"Free Thugger!!" a user called.
Young Thug Trial
Young Thug has been behind bars since May 2022. He, Gunna, and 26 other YSL Associates have been served a sweeping indictment accusing them of conspiring to violate the RICO Act of Atlanta, among other felony charges.
Aside from this, Thugger is pressed by the prosecution as the leader of the supposed Young Slime Life gang, operating behind the Young Slim Life Records business, both entities believed to have been formed by Thugger in 2012.
Since then, Thugger and Gunna, the two biggest rappers on the case, have tried to file for a bond release but have failed in all the attempts.
Perhaps the biggest shock on the case took place last December 2022, when Gunna was offered an Alford plea deal in exchange for a commuted sentence. A number of YSL associates have been offered the same deal that maintains the innocence of their crimes but admits to the consequences of it.
Thugger was not offered a plea deal and is heading towards a trial that is expected to last for six months to a year.
Music executives and other rappers are expected to take the stand, as well as other family members of the embattled rapper.
