The Japanese-born superstar has been working in the music industry for a decade and is known for her staggering and creative music videos.

These visuals ultimately led her to the role of Akira in the movie. During her conversation with Shania Twain for Rolling Stone's "Musicians on Musicians," the pop sensation said she doesn't feel grossed out whenever she watches her own content, but it feels different when it's making a movie because she relies on other people's vision.

"I was like, 'Oh, f***. This movie probably cost over $100 million to make. I'm a newbie. I'm ruining it. Everyone else is an amazing actor,'" she added.
