Billboard exclusively reported that Hill would be making a huge comeback as she performed her 1998 album, "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill," at the rap music festival in honor of 50 Years of HipHop. She has also performed on last year's 2022 Essence Festival in Louisiana.
Along with Hill is Megan Thee Stallion, who will mark her big return to performing on Mar. 31 at the Madness Music Festival in Houston, Texas, her hometown. This would be her first performance since her high-profile assault trial against Canadian rapper Tory Lanez.
After Madness Music Festival, Megan Thee Stallion will co-headline the Los Angeles Pride in the Park Festival too.
As of this writing, the Essence Festival has announced that they will also feature performances from Monica, CoconJones, Kizz Daniel, and Wizkid. Curated performances will also be possible thanks to Doug E. Fresh, as DJ Clark Kent, DJ Kid, and DJ Spinderella will also helm the turntables.
