Old Dominion lead singer Matthew Ramsey gave his fans an update about his health condition following an ATV crash this week.
Old Dominion is in the middle of its No Bad Vibes Tour when it decided to move at least three shows after Ramsey's accident. It shared the news about the frontman's injury on Tuesday, saying that his fractures require him to stay home and recuperate.
Old Dominion Matthew Ramsey Gives Update After ATV Crash
Days after the ATV accident, the vocalist shared an update on Instagram and referenced Old Dominion's hit song, "No Hard Feelings."
The Instagram clip features a snippet from the song, including the line: "am I all the way over the pain?" The video cuts and shows Ramsey shaking his head and replying "not yet."
Ramsey revealed he sustained three fractures in his pelvis, leading Old Dominion to push back its upcoming performances. The canceled shows were initially scheduled on March 31, April 1, and April 2. The band has now moved its Key West shows to March 22, 23, and 24 of 2024.
Fans can opt to refund their payments within 30 days if they cannot attend the shows on the new dates.
"We will make it up to you! I promise we'll keep you updated on my recovery and any other shows that might be affected," he promised to his fans. "This tour has been such a blast so far this year, and before you know it I'll be back out there with No Bad Vibes! Love you all."
Old Dominion's No Bad Vibes Tour also presents several guests, including Kassi Ashton, Greylan James, Steven Lee Olsen, Shawn Austin, and Frank Ray. The next schedule of the tour is on April 13 in Reading. It remains unknown whether more dates will be affected by Ramsey's injury.
Old Dominion Members Suffered Different Health Issues
Before Ramsey's recent injury, he and lead guitarist Brad Tursi both suffered different issues in the past years.
In 2021, Tursi was hospitalized after falling off a ladder while changing a lightbulb. At that time, he sustained a broken rib and collapsed lungs on top of scrapes and bruises.
The guitarist then reminded the followers to get someone to hold the ladder if they are going to use one.
In 2019, Old Dominion postponed three shows, as well, when Ramsey underwent leg surgery after a fall incident in 2018. The vocalist reportedly endured "a considerable amount of pain" while performing following the event.
