Jon Anderson met his late Yes bandmate Chris Squire in his dream following the latter's death.

Anderson and Squire played together for the last time in 2004 when the singer had to leave the band in 2004 due to his asthmatic attacks. Over a decade after their last gig, Yes dealt with a massive heartbreak when Squire passed away at the age of 67 on June 27, 2015.

Jon Anderson Recalls Seeing Chris Squire in His Dream

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the 78-year-old Yes co-founding member said he was on holiday with his wife in 2015 when he saw Squire in his dream. The couple reportedly visited Maui, where Squire wanted to go - but did not get the chance to - before his passing.

"To my left, I could see this one lady standing there with robes. She looked like an angel, and she probably was," he said. "She pointed up [to] the [sky] and there was Chris smiling with tears coming down his eyes and face."

Anderson told his wife about his dream; she said Squire truly loved him, and Anderson said they were truly brothers.

For the singer, it was an incredible moment and experience especially since they were still mourning him at that time.

Anderson learned something more surprising when he met Squire's widow, Scotland, when he performed a show in Phoenix. He remembered telling her the dream, and Scotland told him the late musician kept saying he wanted to go to Maui before his death.

Before dreaming about Squire, he also noted in a statement that he connected with the guitarist in his meditation, recalling how radiant he looked like.

Chris Squire's Death

Squire became the longest-serving original member when he decided to continue playing with the band until his death in 2014. He also appeared in every Yes album.

The co-founder of the progressive rock band passed away at the age of 67 following his battle with acute erythroid leukemia. It is a rare cancer that affects blood and bone marrow, per the American Society of Hematology.

He and Anderson founded Yes in 1968. Outside the band, he also debuted as a solo artist, releasing his solo album "Fish Out of Water" in 1975. He also became a member of XYZ and worked together with Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and Yes drummer Alan White.
