Some of Jennifer Lopez's followers attacked the announcement of the debut of her new alcohol brand, Delola, pointing out that she does not drink alcohol.

The beverage firm is said to be inspired by the Italian shore.

"I have been grinding non-stop for decades, and more and more I'm realizing the importance of enjoying life," JLo said on Instagram.

"I just wanted to create something better - something better tasting, better ingredients, something I would want to drink with my friends and family, and that is Delola."

Not shortly after the "Jenny From The Block" singer uploaded the video promoting her new booze company, several of her 240 million Instagram followers expressed their displeasure in the comments area.

Jennifer Lopez Criticized

Fans were quick to condemn the celebrity's decision.

According to one Instagram user, "Oh wow. This is disappointing."

"Why not create a NA brand considering you've been outspoken about the negative effects of alcohol and that you yourself don't drink? This feels so off-brand for you, genuinely curious why you're selling alcohol."

"Jlo, it's common knowledge that you don't drink. A coin is a coin, but c'mon, mama doesn't touch alcohol," remarked another admirer.

This was followed by the statement, "This was followed by a different perspective saying, "But you don't drink? This is such a swindle, awful."

One fan in particular was curious as to why she made this decision, given her husband Ben Affleck's prior drinking problems, which prompted him to seek treatment on many times.

"Yet it feels so inauthentic to see someone who normally talks about the harm alcohol can do to her skin now recommending it as part of 'living a little,'" they said.

"Not to mention Ben's drinking history, but when money is involved, people will find a way."

Lola Lopez

Jennifer just announced that the project she has been working on for two years is finally seeing the light of day.

She explained that her moniker, Lola, represents her "more playful and carefree side."

Lola Lopez was observed in an Instagram image on her JLo profile enjoying a low-calorie beverage from a wine glass, calmly drinking the alcoholic drink on the rocks, revealing a more relaxed side.
