Metallica member Lars Ulrich opened up about the problems the band still encounters despite being successful in the past four decades.

The band earns more younger generation fans ahead of the release of its new album, "72 Seasons." The rockers will also conquer the stage in its scheduled M72 World Tour, which will start this month.

Amid the band's continued success, the drummer opened up about the problems he also deals with while facing the band's headaches.

Metallica's Lars Ulrich Opens Up About Bad Days

Ulrich recently sat down for an interview with Metal Hammer and talked about his personal and the band's issues despite success.

The drummer revealed that, although he is a member of one of the best-selling metal bands in history, he still experiences insecurities and feels down sometimes.

"I have good days, as a band member, as a parent, as a life partner, a song, a friend," Ulrich said. "Then I have other days where I feel like a f**king idiot or a loser or my head is not screwed on straight, I'm an asshole or whatever."

Ulrich feels the same thing before Metallica's tour, saying that he feels anxious despite thinking since last year that touring would be a good idea. But as the dates get closer, he reportedly starts questioning what the band members throw themselves into.

The member noted that, just like any other band, Metallica cannot always crack the code as they did decades ago. With that change, Ulrich and the members are reminded that they are already getting older.

Robert Trujillo Praises Metallica's "72 Seasons"

Amid all doubts and anxieties, Ulrich and the other Metallica members will surely shine again with their upcoming plans.

His bandmate, Robert Trujillo, told Jesse and JD of CJAY 92 and Canada's iHeartRadio that the upcoming album is the best one he has ever been involved with. The bassist notably replaced Jason Newsted in the band.

According to Trujillo, "72 Seasons" will give fans the same feeling once they listen to it upon release.

Metallica's "72 Seasons" will be released on April 14, marking its first full-length release since 2016's "Hardwired... To Self-Destruct."

Elsewhere in the interview, Trujillo said that Metallica has no shortage of music for the future. Thus, the public can expect them to make new music in the next few years.
