A member of 6 Treys has been arrested following an attempt to avenge Nas Blixky.
Nas Blixky survived the near-fatal shooting incident in 2022, during which he was shot in the head while he was in Brooklyn's Prospect Lefferts Garden neighborhood.
Taj Zeigler, a member of the Folk Nation Gangster Disciples' offshoot 6 Treys, reportedly tried to shoot the man he believed to be responsible for Nas Blixky's shooting incident.
Taj Zeigler Arrested
HipHop DX cited the documents released by the authorities confirming the arrest of the 22-year-old Friday. The 6 Treys member was reportedly ordered to be detained at Brooklyn Federal Court after he attempted to shoot a man on Jan. 28, 2022, days after the near-fatal shooting of Nas Blixky.
New York Daily News detailed that the shooter tried to conceal his identity by wearing a puffer jacket. He was then charged with felon in possession of ammunition. The other charges remain unknown as of press time.
There had been theories that he was shot after he dissed another artist, PG-16. The incident was also tied to FBG Duck's death.
"Rapper FBG Duck dropped diss track 'Dead B***hes' slating slain gang rivals weeks before he was killed in Chicago Rapper Nas Blixky only previewed and didn't even get to drop his diss PG-16 and got hit with a friend. Meanwhile Drilla still out here like," the theory read, per HipHopDX.
Nas Blixky has since returned to the spotlight. However, the Queens District Attorney released a statement on Feb. 14, naming the rapper among the 23 gang members who were charged with different crimes, including gun possession, murder, reckless endangerment, and attempted murder, among others.
If he is convicted, the rapper could face up to 25 years in prison.
Nas Blixky's Crewmate Also Died
Before Nas Blixky was shot, his crewmate Nick Blixky was killed in a separate shooting incident two years prior.
The New York Police Department, per CNN, said that the then-21-year-old was found unconscious and unresponsive with "gunshot wounds to his torso and buttocks" in front of 200 Winthrop Street. He was discovered after receiving a 911 call about a man who was possibly shot around the area.
Emergency responders transported him to New York City Health & Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead moments later.
