The rap world was abuzz on Saturday after Jackie Robinson West won the U.S. Little League baseball championship.
The all-black youth team from Chicago had never made it to the playoffs in its 31 years of existence, and was the first team from the Chi to reach the championship since 1967.
MTV notes that Chance The Rapper took a trip with his dad to a Chicago-area community center to watch the game:
Me and my pops went to the Kroc Center in Roseland to watch Jackie Robinson West play this last game for they hit the #LLWS2014

Jackie Robinson West plays for the Little League World Series against Seoul on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET. The game is being televised on ABC. The baseball tournament — held annually in Pennsylvania — made music news last week when 13-year-old Mo’Ne Davis was rumored to be signing with Wayne’s Cash Money Sports. Check out the tweet:

Davis, a female pitcher, was the first Little Leaguer to ever be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated, and drew attention as a role model for other girls trying to compete in what are traditionally “boy” sports.
