The entire Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida waited with bated breath as Taylor Swift went onstage for the first time since the news of her breakup with actor Joe Alwyn.
Additionally, reports also noted that the cracks in their relationship have been going on for quite some time and that it only reached a breaking point recently.
The news broke out last weekend, which blindsided and devastated the fans, who are fiercely protective of the "Anti-Hero" singer.
As of this writing, neither Swift nor Alwyn has issued any statements regarding their alleged breakup, but fans already think there's much to investigate by just looking into the "Eras Tour."
Setlist
The very first thing fans looked at was Swift's setlist. If there's one thing about the singer, she would be conveying her feelings and emotions through her music.
According to reports, fans noticed that she switched out "Invisible String" for "The 1" ("And it would've been fun/ If you would've been the one").
Another song about regret and losing a significant other is her hit song "Champagne Problems," from her ninth studio album "Evermore."
It should be noted that this song has always been part of the setlist since the beginning, but the arena sang their hearts out, tears filling their eyes, knowing now that the breakup song must be harder for Swift to perform, especially now that her six-year relationship has ended.
Catching Up
Other than giving subtle hints through her setlist, the "Lavender Haze" singer has kept a tight lip on the status of her relationship.
During the concert, she simply told fans in between songs, "Is it just me or do we have a lot of things to catch up on?"
"It's been a really long time since I've been on tour," she continued, playing it off. "And to say that a lot has happened is an understatement."
Other than those words, Swift seemed to be in tune with the crowd that night. She even talked a little about her rerecorded albums, which are highly anticipated.
"I've been thinking a lot about one of my albums recently. One of my albums has been on my mind a lot... lots going on in my brain about it," she said.
Swift plans to rerecord six of her albums, and has released two so far-"Fearless (Taylor's Version)" and "Red (Taylor's Version)."
