It appears that Travis Barker's children are following in his footsteps as both are heading to their individual music careers, however, his daughter Alabama was recently criticized for the type of music she decided to pursue; what happened?

According to WOBM, the 17-year-old musician took to her TikTok live stream to chat with fans as well as preview her new music. Throughout the yet-to-be-released track, Alabama can be heard rapping in the background as the beats flowed into her rhythm.

"He told me I'm not gonna make it / I told him he crazy," she rapped in the song's intro.

The video was screen-recorded by some fans and made it to Twitter where the musician received hate for the music she's trying to put out.

"Your dad is a member of blink-182 and this the music you're making," one wrote, referring to Blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker.

"'My name real exotic I get foreign checks when they pay me' ma'am you're named after a state. How is that exotic...couldn't think of something actually more American," another one wrote, pointing out the lyrics to her song.

Many people also called her out for using "blaccent" throughout the track, with one writing, "She's in her ~black era~ she gone act like this until she's 28 then suddenly she'll have a rebrand.

Despite the hate she received, there were users who defended her for her actions, saying she's just a teenager trying to explore her creativity.

"what is so wrong with alabama barker wanting to become a rapper... like y'all be grown as hell hating on this lil a*** girl," one expressed.

As of this writing, Alabama Barker has yet to react to the negative comments about her viral video.

Travis Barker Son Landon Barker is Also a Musician
