Aaron Carter's ex-fiancée said there is something suspicious regarding the singer's cause of death.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner formally served more details regarding Carter's death. Its findings revealed that the late singer drowned in the bathtub after he took alprazolam, a generic Xanax, and inhaled compressed difluoroethane.
The report added that these substances made him "incapacitated while in the bathtub due to the effects." It reportedly caused him to slip under the water and drown.
The authorities officially ruled Aaron's death accidental.
Aaron Carter's Ex-Fiancée Wants 2nd Autopsy
Carter's ex-fiancée and the mother of his child, Melanie Martin, told a news outlet that the recently released autopsy serves no closure for her. She then detailed the suspicious parts of the result, including the "doubtful" revelation that he was wearing a t-short and necklace when he was found in the bathtub.
She expressed how the report only sparked more questions regarding the development, causing her to demand a second autopsy.
Following her initial statement, Martin shared the
elements that do not make sense to her.
For Martin, the fact that he was partially clothed when he died suggested that someone was involved in his death. She also said that the abrasion on his left eyebrow and the base of his septum could indicate that he struggled at that time.
With the findings, Martin disclosed that she is considering having the case investigated for the second time by a private investigator and medical professional.
She believes it will soon give her closure and peace of mind; however, she is yet to launch it due to the whopping potential expenses.
While looking for her options, Martin reportedly started her own investigation and expressed her desire to have the housekeeper get a second look by the police.
Aaron Carter's Mother Finds His Death Suspicious
Before Carter's fiancée opened up about the autopsy, the singer's mother Jane Carter already raised the possibility of foul play being involved in his death.
She publicly shared the photos taken in Carter's bathroom on the day he died and suggested someone did it to her son because "people had been wanting to harm him for a long time."
Jane previously said that the toxicology report could only lead to more questions about what or who truly killed Carter.
She is yet to comment on the recent autopsy report.
