The Foo Fighters have been on tour for quite some time now, but it seems like there are still a number of songs that they are yet to perform live.
Before delving into the songs that have not graced fans' ears live, let's take a look at the Foo Fighter's current setlist.
The songs that the rock band has consistently played throughout the years include 'Everlong," "All My Life, "Best of You," "My Hero," "The Skt is a Neighborhood," "Times Like These," "The Pretender," "Learn to Fly," "These Days," and "Walk."
Accordion to Concerty, the band performs the most songs-which totals to three-from their "The Colour and The Shape" album, their second studio album released in 1997.
This is followed by "Wasting Light," "Medicine at Midnight," and "There Is Nothing Left to Lose," each with two songs on the setlist.
The other albums, like Foo Fighter's "Greatest Hits," "Echoes, Silence Patience & Grace," "One By One," "In Your Honor," their self- album, get one song each; as well as an additional song cover.
They 'Refuse' to Perform
Technically, the Foo Fighters do not refuse to perform any of these songs, they just neglect to add any of them to the setlist.
According to Loudwire, here are the following songs that the band is yet to include in their tour setlist: "Live-In Skin" from "There is Nothing Left to Lose"; "Halo" and "Burn Away" from their 2002 album "One By One"; "The Sign" from "In Your Honor";
"Stranger Things Have Happened," "Summer's End," and "Statues" from their 2007 album "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace"; "Wasting Light's" bonus track "Better Off"; "T-Shirt" and "Happy Ever After (Zero Hour" from "Concrete and Gold"; and finally, "Holding Poison" from their 2021 album "Medicine at Midnight."
This Song
The reason behind these snubs is widely unknown, however, this is another song that is not on the Louswire list that needs to be addressed: "Big Me."
The song came from Foo Fighter's self-titled album, released in 1995. Despite "Big Me" being released with the band's album, it was written and recorded by David Grohl entirely by himself.
According to What Culture, "Big Me" is a tribute song. Grohl wrote it after Kurt Cobain's untimely death in 1994.
There is a music video for the song, and fans know it well, however, they have no plans to perform it for several reasons: the song's music video parodies a famous Metos advertisement.
Fans would bring the candy to the show and throw them at the band, which proved to be a nuisance and a distraction, which is why they no longer perform it live.
