It's been years since the City Girls released their last album titled "City on Lock" and fans have been asking them for new music. It appears that their next project will be dropping soon as Yung Miami teased supporters about when they are going to release the record.
Speaking to a special issue of The Cut, the musician was asked when the duo will give fans what all they wanted to have over the past three years: new music.
Yung Miami first said she won't reveal anything, but she later gave in and noted, "I don't know, like, it is coming, and it will be sometime this summer—for real, for real, for real."
City Girls New Album 2023: Why Did it Take a While For Duo to Release New Music?
Speaking about why it took them a while to drop their next project, the musician said "it takes time," adding, "We're trying to sit through it and make sure that that's what we want to put out. It's gonna hit different." (via Uproxx)
This isn't the first time Yung Miami teased fans about the release date of City Girl's next album as she told Rachel Lindsay for Extra earlier this year that it will come out anytime around spring/summer.
As of this writing, the musician and her co-member JT have not revealed the official release date, title, tracklist, and other information of their upcoming project.
In other updates, City Girls will be taking the stage of Rolling Loud Miami on July 22, 2023, and it seems like they will perform new music by that time.
Yung Miami Confirms Diddy Split
Elsewhere in the interview, Yung Miami finally confirmed that she and Diddy have already broken up after fans have been rooting for them over the past few months.
People Magazine reported that the former couple reportedly dated each other, but they were not in an exclusive relationship.
In the conversation, Yung Miami said they are still "good friends" to this day, but she's now single. She also revealed that both of them had their "own situation" but she didn't want to put any label on their connection.
"We were together every day at one point... He supported me, I supported him. I'll let the internet call it whatever they want to call it," she added.
