The Weeknd surprised everyone with his Coachella appearance on Metro Boomin's set in the first week, even debuting a new song for everyone to hear.
But as he hyped up the crowd, Abel was inches away from having his face torched as he approached a pyrotechnic equipment.

As he hyped the crowd, he moved forward and almost got in close contact with a piece of bursting pyrotechnic equipment.
Thankfully, his reflexes and senses kicked in, prompting him to move backward and avoid the outburst with a loud sigh of relief: "Wooo!"
The fan page shared it, reminding the singer to "be careful."
Abel quote tweeted it, saying that it "ALMOST COOKED" him.

The responses to his tweet were filled with well-wishes and safety reminders.
"I Love that I saw you again ...have a lot of fun and enjoy you time! Can't wait to see you in Europe soon...take good care of you," a fan reminded.
"That Ooooh though stay alert while performing," another said.
Last year, Lil Durk had an unfortunate incident with a pyrotechnic equipment at the Lollapalooza Chicago. He was subsequently rushed to the hospital and had his one eye treated after the shocking incident.
Thankfully they both did not suffer any major injuries.

The Weeknd Debuted 'Double Fantasy,' 'Creepin', More Songs!
In his surprise performance on Metro Boomin's set, The Weeknd live debuted three songs from his discography.
First was his hit link-up with Metro Boomin - "Creepin'" and "Escape From LA," a song from his 2020 album "After Hours."
According to Capital FM, "Double Fantasy" was a song to be included on "The Idol's" official soundtrack, a series that The Weeknd has developed with HBO and "Euphoria's" Sam Levinson.
"Temperature risin', bodies united. Now that I trapped you in my arms. No need to fight it, no need to hide it. Now that I see what's in your heart," he sang.
Parade Magazine reports that "The Idol" will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May 20203, and the series premiere will be aired on HBO on Jun. 4, 2023.
