The Coachella Festival attendees have been treated to a special surprise during its second weekend.
On Friday, the festival made it up to the attendees by offering several surprise guests and appearances. Bad Bunny had a surprise turn during Gorillaz's slot. His headlining set also included Jose Feliciano, Arcangel, Grupo Frontera, Jhay Cortez, and Jowell & Randy.
Wet Leg also had its Friday set, but it completed its performance by bringing out its ace: Dave Grohl.
Foo Fighters Dave Grohl Assists Wet Leg's Set
On Coachella Festival's official Twitter page, the organizers applauded the Wet Leg's "longest, loudest scream" during its set. But during the band's "Ur Mum" performance, Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers welcomed Grohl on stage.
"OK Coachella Weekend Two, we've all been practicing our longest and loudest scream," Teasdale said. "Are you all ready? Here we go."
The band then started a countdown to its scream time, during which Grohl appeared to help the lead singer in the scream.
Grohl has been vocal about his admiration and fondness for the band in his interviews. During a conversation with The Independent, the musician said Wet Leg would "take over America" due to the band's unique style and unmatched performances.
He also told the publication that the band has a "great sense of humor, great beat, great riffs, totally hooky."
Foo Fighters To Release 1st Album Since Taylor Hawkins' Death
Grohl remains busy as usual as his band, Foo Fighters, is set to release their first album since Taylor Hawkins' death.
Foo Fighters recently released the first song from its upcoming 11th studio album, "But Here We Are." The track, titled, "Rescued," became the band's first material without the late drummer.
"Courageous, damaged and unflinchingly authentic, 'But Here We Are' opens with newly released lead single 'Rescued,' the first of 10 songs that run the emotional gamut from rage and sorrow to serenity and acceptance, and myriad points in between," the band said in a press release, per Variety.
The full album will arrive on June 2 via Roswell/RCA, and it will serve as the follow-up to the 2021 album, "Medicine at Midnight."
The drummer who replaced Hawkins in the album is not identified. But rumors suggested that Grohl played the instrument.
Meanwhile, the publication also suggested that the drums sound like Josh Freese, the musician who has been long linked to the band as its new drummer.
