Before Swae Lee was set to go onstage to perform with Slim Jxmmi at Coachella, he got into an altercation with security, and things went a little too out of hand.
According to reports, the security team at Coachella barred the rapper from going anywhere near the Outdoor Theatre stage because they "did not recognize him."
"As Swae Lee attempted to enter the festival with his newborn son and working crew, overzealous security guards confronted them," Lee's management wrote in a statement.
"Security claimed not to recognize the talent and then aggressively initiated contact as they attempted to make their way to the stage."
Lee did not take kindly to this, and a scuffle ensued between the two parties, which also included the rapper's entourage.
Newborn Son
Apparently, the "Sremm 4 Life" rapper also had his newborn son along with him at the music festival, and he was just nearby when the fight broke out.
Thankfully, the baby was moved out of the way by Lee's security team in time, because he could have easily been injured during the fight, as he had been placed in a car seat right next to the rapper.
"The security guards, which we presume are independent contractors, are seen clearly being the aggressors and then throwing gang signs at end of the video in a celebration," the statement also read.
According to reports, the show continued after the altercation. Eventually, Lee and his team as well as Coachella security were able to clear up the misunderstanding.

Fans React
However, fans are livid with how the music festival's security team approached and reacted to the situation.
"They hired the local gang members to run security," a Twitter user wrote.
"Where was the security at during thi- wait a minute," another added.
On the other hand, several netizens called out Lee for bringing a baby to the music festival in the first place.
"Why tf the baby at Coachella?" One asked.
Lee is a rapper and singer, who is one half of the Hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd with Slim Jxmmi.
They released the hit songs "No Flex Zone," "No type," and "Black Beatles." Although, these days, they are not as prominent as they used to be, they were once one of the most popular artists in 2017.
