The suggestion that Morgan Wallen was "too intoxicated" to play his scheduled gig at the Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi, over the weekend has been rejected by an executive at his record label.
The 29-year-old country singer and songwriter had been set to appear on Sunday (April 23). However, he pulled out of the show last minute.
After the opening acts' sets, those in attendance were informed that Morgan had "lost his voice" and would not be performing.
A video soon made its way to TikTok, seemingly showing a security guard from the event. This clip went viral among viewers on social media platforms.
Many had quickly accused Morgan of being intoxicated during the concert, even alleging that he was rushed away in an ambulance.
However, dismissing the notion that his voice failed him as "bull crap," Best Crowd Management - who were responsible for the security of the event - has put out a statement refuting those claims and deeming them "false."
"A hired employee of BEST Crowd Management made false claims as it related to last night's Morgan Wallen concert and we do not stand behind the detail in his statement. Please refer to Morgan's social media pages for details."
Fox News reported that Big Loud Records CEO Seth England, responsible for managing country music artist Morgan, responded to a post from Best Crowd Management.
His response was composed of gratitude towards the company for correcting an employee who had fabricated an utterly inaccurate story.
It further stated, "Every detail was false. Laughable what some people will just say for a reaction. Don't Believe Everything You Read."
In recent days have seen two statements from the artist known as 'Morgan' about his health, both of them on Instagram.
The first was regarding the cancellation of a show in Oxford at which he had been due to perform.
He said that his voice was "shot," which made him unable to perform, and that tickets would be refunded.
In an additional statement, the artist confirmed that his performances in Grand Rapids (Michigan), Moline (Illinois), and Lincoln (Nebraska) this week have been delayed.
Morgan Wallen first gained national attention in 2014 when he competed on season 6 of the television singing competition show "The Voice."
Although he was eliminated in the battle rounds, he was able to use the experience to jumpstart his career.
