It has been almost a decade since Blink-182 last performed on tour in 2015 together in their original lineup.

Fans of the rock band have never been more delighted to see them together as they kicked off their tour at the Xcel Energy Center in Minnesota last May 4, 2023.

Blink-182 Reunion Tour

The Xcel Energy Center performance marked the first time that Tom DeLonge performed with the band on tour. They performed twice at the Coachella 2023, earlier in April 2023, but their first official tour performance did not happen until May since their South America leg of the tour has since been postponed because of Travis Barker's injury.

But what better way to have their first show back together than tipping their hats to the man that held the band together in DeLonge's absence?

Blink-182 performed Matt Skiba-era songs on their reunion tour setlist. Shocking everyone, given the rather controversial and sudden exit of Skiba from the band after DeLonge's return.

According to NME, Blink-182 rocked to their classic hot songs like "What's My Age Again," and "All The Small Things." They also pumped it up with "Up All Night," and "Ghost on The Dance Floor," songs they haven't performed since 2016 and 2014, respectively.

Surprisingly, they also performed songs from the Matt Skiba era. They blasted "California" tracks from 2016 - "Bored To Death," and "Cynical" - despite Skiba not being there to helm the guitars.

Matt Skiba Left Blink-182 Abruptly

When rumors that Tom DeLonge would be returning to Blink-182 came about last year, fans took to Matt Skiba and wondered about his official status with the band.

As more reports and stories circulated online, even Skiba expressed confusion as he was seemingly kept in the dark about the negotiations for the return happened.

When it was finally announced, Skiba seemed to be in good spirits with the band about it.

"I am truly grateful for my time with blink and I am truly happy you guys are a band and a family again," he said on Instagram, to which he was showered with thousands of gratitudes about him for his service to the band and the fans.
