A man who allegedly frequently left gifts at Lady Gaga's Malibu estate was accosted by police.

Thursday night, according to TMZ, law enforcement rushed to the residence of the 37-year-old hitmaker, who, like many A-listers, employs exclusive bodyguards.

Her security personnel contacted the police to report a man on the property.

The individual was detained by security, and when law enforcement arrived, he explained that he was only there to deliver flowers. Before being halted, the unidentified man had only reached the bottom of the pop star's (born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) driveway.

According to sources for TMZ, police advised him against attempting to give Lady Gaga anything. In addition, they claim that Gaga's security personnel informed law enforcement that they have seen the same man on the property before, as he frequently left off small gifts for the singer.

Perhaps most concerning was the fact that the "Bad Romance" singer was home when police arrived, but she had no contact with the man bearing flowers.

According to TMZ, the man was ultimately not detained for the incident. Gaga has engaged the services of some of the best bodyguards, indicating that security is of the uttermost importance to her.

Peter Van der Veen, a professional bodyguard for celebrities who has worked with many A-listers, including Iggy Azalea and Adele, is her most prominent security detail. He ignited the hearts of many Adele admirers when he emerged as her protector, towering over most fans and rarely leaving her side.

The former bodybuilder was crowned Mr. Europe in 2005, so it's no surprise that so many celebrities have sought out his bodyguard services. He has appeared on backing recordings for Lady Gaga, including her 2011 hit Government Hookup. He collaborated with her from 2010 to 2015, and then rejoined the Gaga team in 2018.

The actress is currently filming "Joker: Folie à Deux" alongside Joaquin Phoenix, in which she will portray the infamous villain Harley Quinn.

The plot reflects on Quinn's origin from the "Batman" animated series. Her existence as a psychiatrist assigned to examine the Joker at Arkham Asylum is turned upside down when she falls in love with him instead. The film will not be released to the public until October 4, 2024.

Recently, Lady Gaga posted a new photo of herself as Harley Quinn on Instagram, giving us our clearest glimpse at the character to date, and simultaneously announced that filming on the movie had concluded.
