Shy Glizzy was arrested over the weekend for allegedly brandishing a firearm and threatening to harm his fiancée.

TMZ reports that rapper, 30, whose actual name is Marquis Amonte King, was arrested on Saturday after a'verbal altercation' with his on-again, off-again girlfriend.

Shy is said to have brandished a firearm and threatened his fiancée on a public street at 9 a.m., escalating the dispute. Shy is said to have fled after the altercation, which resulted in the involvement of West Hollywood Sheriff's Deputies and the filing of a criminal report.

Shy was subsequently apprehended at 6pm. After four hours in custody, he was released on a $50,000 bond after being charged on a felony charge of making criminal threats. According to sources, police did not locate a firearm on Shy, and he denied threatening his four-month girlfriend.

A video shared on social media indicates that Shy Glizzy and his manager were apprehended by police at gunpoint. Sunday, May 14th, Street People Of Beverly Hills deleted a series of Instagram Stories depicting Glizzy and his manager being detained in what appears to be a Best Buy parking lot.

Eventually, both males were on the ground while a group of police officers had drawn their weapons. Since the beginning of 2023, when he was accused of sexual misconduct by an OnlyFans model in January, Glizzy has been embroiled in a sea of trouble.

Sky Bri, who at the time appeared on the No Jumper podcast, accused Shy Glizzy of inappropriate behavior on the set of his 2014 music video for "White Girl."

Bri stated that she knew Shy Glizzy from a previous photoshoot and that he contacted her about starring in the "White Girl" music video after the song exploded on TikTok and was certified platinum eight years after its initial release.

After eagerly agreeing to be in the video, the OnlyFans creator claimed Glizzy acted "sketchy" throughout the day and at one point purportedly pressured her to take an unidentified drug.

Apparently, the situation deteriorated after filming concluded. Sky Bri said she was about to leave when he came in, pulled her onto the bed, and when she looked down, his private part was out. She was asked to commit certain acts that she did not want to, so she was not paid.

The year 2018 saw the publication of Glizzy's debut studio album, "Fully Loaded," which peaked at number 35 on the Billboard 200. Flowers, his sophomore album, was published in February 2023. In 2023, he released his final single, Fools Fall N Love (featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again).

Additionally, the celebrity has collaborated with artists including Tory Lanez, A$AP Rocky, and 2Chainz. With GoldLink and Brent Faiyaz, he was nominated for a 2018 Grammy in the Best Rap/Sung Performance category for his song Crew.
