The finale will also feature performances by Kevin Cronin, James Blunt, Jazmine Sullivan, Lauren Daigle, Ellie Golding, and Jelly Roll, among others.
"American Idol" season 21 finale will air on May 21, and here are the ways to watch it.
How To Watch "American Idol" Season 21 Finale?
ABC will premiere the finale at 8 p.m. ET Sunday, but viewers can also tune in on cable, satellite, and streaming subscriptions including ABC.com and the ABC app.
Meanwhile, for viewers who will miss the Sunday episode, Hulu will drop the whole show the next day for its subscribers. Those who are not yet subscribed to the streaming platform can avail of its most popular plan, $7.99 per month, which is currently on sale for $2 per month for three months.
Viewers will be able to see "American Idol" judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie as they grace the stage with their songs. The Top 12 contestants of the current season will also appear together for a performance.
Keith Urban, on the other hand, will return to the show but as a mentor of the finalists. It will be the first time he appears on the show after becoming its judge from seasons 12 to 15. Ahead of his appearance, he told People that he would be performing his hit song, "Wild Hearts."
"To be able to come in as a mentor, and play as well, is incredible. That was home for me for several seasons," the 55-year-old singer said, adding, "and the mentoring part is probably one of the things I always enjoyed the most, getting to work with the artist one-on-one."
