Hello Magazine reported that the First Battalion Welsh Guards Corps of Drums also joined the guards in instrumentation for the centuries-old ceremony. For those who do not know, the said moment is basically a hand-off responsibility ceremony for protecting Buckingham Palace and St. James' Palace to the New Guard.

The schedule of the Changing Guards Ceremony varies depending on the month. According to its website, in May, ceremonies take place Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Turner and Charles have already met before. In 1986, Turner played on then-Prince Charles' Trust All-Star Rock Concert at London's Wembley Stadium.

However, the song is coincidentally, one of Charles' ex-wife, the late Princess Diana's favorite song.

King Charles Played Princess Diana's Favorite Song?

According to a December 2021 episode of Apple Fitness+'s "Time to Walk" series, as quoted by Page Six, the song was a frequent part of Diana's playlist whenever she brings her boys to boarding school.

"One of the songs I massively remember and has stuck with me all this time, and I still, to this day, still quite enjoy secretly, is Tina Turner's 'The Best' because sitting in the backseat, singing away, it felt like a real family moment," Prince William said at the time. "And my mother, she'd be driving along, singing at the top of her voice."

Prince William revealed in the episode that listening to the song takes him back to the days when they were singing the said Tina Turner classic at the top of her lungs in the car, which sometimes include some security detail also jamming with them until they were dropped off.
