Dan Smith, popularly known as the frontman of the band Bastille, recently revealed that he wrote songs for the upcoming official soundtrack album of "Barbie The Movie" but his tracks were rejected.
According to NME, the musician was asked by a fan if he has any plans of seeing "Barbie" or "Oppenheimer" in the future since he was talking about films at the time.
The musician said he was excited and then revealed that he almost worked on the official soundtrack of the Greta Gerwig-directed movie.
"Very excited for both of those. In fact, I wrote a couple of songs for the 'Barbie' film (that they didn't use), but it looks incredible so does 'Oppenheimer,'" he said.
As of this writing, the singer didn't reveal the reason why his songs weren't able to make it to "Barbie The Album."
Smith had been working in songs that were featured in projects within the film and television scenes. He previously wrote "Hope For The Future" which was used in the end credits of the climate emergency documentary by Orlando Von Einsiedel titled "From Devil's Breath."
