It has been two years since Zayn Malik released his third studio album "Nobody is Listening," and it seems like fans are already demanding that the singer get back to the recording studio to make new material.
After months and months of asking for updates from the "Pillowtalk" singer, Malik finally gave in and addressed his fans.
"I would like to say thank you to everyone that has supported me throughout this amazing journey," he wrote on Twitter. "Especially to my fans who I owe my life to."
"Love and adore you, and see everything you do for me," he added.
However, much to the fans' dismay, that was all the One Direction alum had to say, as he did not take note or mention anything about an upcoming album or music release lined up.
Fans React
Despite the long wait, Malik's fans continue to support the singer and in fact, have not been pushy about the subject of a new album.
They simply joked around, and showered him with praises and support, "I love u Z, don't become a farmer yet, I want more albums!! I miss you Z."
"Zayn we're so so proud of you, and we will always be here to support you. All the love."
Although there is no denying that fans were definitely hoping to hear more from the singer, and perhaps something music-related.
"I think you forgot to add 'can't wait to show you guys what has been in the making' bro don't scare me like this pls I'm an overthinker," a fan added.
After all, back in April, Malik was famously linked to Selena Gomez, and many have begun speculating that not only were they allegedly dating, but they might also be making music together.
According to reports, the British singer even shared several behind the scene pictures of himself in a recording studio with music producer Daniel Zaidenstadt.
Music Career
Malik began his music career with the hit British boy group One Direction, alongside Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne.
In 2015, Malik announced that he will be leaving One Direction to "normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight."
However, several months later, it was revealed that the singer had already signed a recording deal with RCA Records, and has begun working on his solo music endeavors.
He released his first studio album "Mind of Mine" a year later, which produced his breakout single "Pillowtalk' and "Like I Would."
