Bad Bunny received massive success in 2022, but in 2023, he just wants to sit back, make music, and keep to himself.
That lifestyle, however, might prove to be hard for someone whose career took off because of social media, but Bad Bunny insists that he tries his best at keeping his word on his social media hiatus.
"I've done it several times and when I come back to social media, I ask myself 'Why did I come back?'" The Puerto Rican rapper told People magazine.
"The truth is that every time I close my phone for a long period of time like a week - and there have been occasions where I've managed to stay off for a month - that's when I feel best."
These days, Bad Bunny has been spotted enjoying and having the time of his life dating model and reality show star Kendall Jenner, attending the Met Gala, and going to expensive and exclusive restaurants and clubs.
The social media break has definitely given him a different aura and glow, which has proved to be beneficial to the rapper.
Offline Glow
The social media hiatus comes after a series of controversies involving Bad Bunny and some fans.
As an artist as big and successful as he is, the rapper is no stranger to getting a lot of attention-that includes having fans chase after him and shoving phones up his face.
Bad Bunny got so fed up that in one incident, he threw a fan's phone after they asked for a selfie.
He addressed the situation by declaring: "Those who come to put a freaking phone in my face I will consider it for what it is, a disrespect, and I will treat it as is."
He took to social media shortly after and changed his Twitter bio to "You're going to miss me."
However, more than the unwanted fan attention, Bad Bunny insists that his hiatus, which not only includes social media but also from the music scene, is to give him a chance to reset and relax.

How's It Going?
By all accounts, it seems like the decision to unplug and step back from the limelight has benefitted Bad Bunny.
"I even breathe better," he said. "But at the end of the day going on social media is inevitable, even if it's for one minute."
