Fans were shocked as GRiZ announced on social media that he will finish the rest of his shows in the coming weeks before taking a break from touring; what happened?
Taking to his official Instagram account, the music producer/DJ started his statement by confirming that his show in October 2023 would be his last for "the unforseeable future" as he would take his time to take a break from performing as well as his GRiZ project.
The musician acknowledges that his life is good at the moment but there were times when he makes himself "too busy" just to see how successful he is.
The main reason why he decided to take an indefinite hiatus is because he's following his "gut instincts" that 's why he's "going to put a hard time limit on the break."
GRiZ Reflects on a Successful Career
Elsewhere in the post, the musician looked back at his successful career, saying it felt like yesterday when he was performing for no one at 9 p.m. for a free PBR.
He later decided to drop out of college to move states and he's been living in Colorado for a decade now.
Since he had been working for over the past ten years, he will spend his break to "nurture" his relationship with himself as well as friends and family that he often ignored while he was working as a musician. (via Billboard)

"I'm excited to take time to travel, find fresh inspiration, write music and to be in a new headspace," he said, adding that he got a place in Michigan and he's excited to move back.
The renowned record producer/DJ noted that he had been thinking about taking a break for a while now and he first thought of just announcing his hiatus before being gone.
But he was counseled to not do it, but instead, announce it ahead of his upcoming shows in order to spend more time with fans.
