Morgan Wallen has finally been cleared by his doctors after his weeks-long vocal rest. In the past weeks, Wallen has been slammed by his fans for abruptly canceling his concert while everyone was already there.
Speculations arose that the cancelation was actually prompted by him being drunk and not needing vocal rest. However, in the coming weeks and days, Wallen has since proved it.
Morgan Wallen Vocal Health Condition
In a now-expired Instagram Story that he posted, Morgan Wallen revealed that he has been given the clearance by his doctors to "sing and talk" after his weeks-long vocal rest.
Earlier in April 2023, Wallen abruptly canceled his Mississippi concert, prompting a flurry of angry Morgan Wallen fans to criticize him on social media. Shortly after, he canceled the subsequent shows - 6 weeks' worth of concerts and performances.
"After taking 10 days of vocal rest, I performed three shows last weekend in Florida. And by the third one, I felt terrible," he said at the time. Since then, Morgan Wallen described his vocal health condition as a "vocal fold trauma" as his doctors instructed him to embark on a "vocal rest" for six weeks.
Apart from the vocal trauma she experienced, he also revealed, as reported by Page Six, that he tore his latissimus dorsi, a group of muscles at the lower back of a person, in his Australian concerts.
Morgan Wallen Cleared To Sing Again
Morgan Wallen provided information about his comeback very sparingly.
"The doc cleared me to talk and sing... we back," he briefly revealed.
Nothing is known when he is coming back specifically, but he is scheduled to take a show at the Wrigley Field in Chicago on Jun. 22, 2023.
Morgan Wallen Billboard Chart Domination
All while he was on vocal rest, Morgan Wallen managed to accomplish a record-setting feat for country music on the Billboard 200 charts with "One Thing At A Time."
He scored 12 consecutive weeks at No. 1 before being halted by Taylor Swift's "Midnights" earlier this week. The accomplishment is the biggest one for a country music album for decades.
Meanwhile, his single, "Last Thing," still rules Billboard Hot 100 this week for a staggering nine weeks at the top. It is currently the No. 1 on the Streamings Chart, and it recently peaked at No. 4 on Radio Songs Chart.
