Niall Horan skyrocketed to fame with One Direction.
But before performing at Wembley Stadium for Capital's Summertime Ball, he admitted the commotion surrounding their success caused him to become a hermit.
Niall told of his experience that on some occasions, he could barely step outside the doorway.
The Irish singer recalled to The Sun once being at Westfield in West London, and honestly, it felt like he would die.
He said that the thought of never going out scared me into staying in.
"Between 2012-2014, it felt as though the walls were closing in. The fear of going from zero to hero was a lot," explaining of the years One Direction were at their peak.
"The transition to a normal life has certainly been an adjustment."
Discussing how his life has transformed since going solo, Niall said, "These days, I'm living the most typical lifestyle."
The "Flicker" singer explained how he's now free to do his own thing, like picking up groceries or grabbing dinner.
Not too long ago, Niall Horan would've immediately rejected any suggestion to go for coffee or lunch.

2016 marked a new beginning for Niall with the launch of his solo career.
His debut single, "This Town," soon rocketed to number 9 on the UK Singles Chart and number 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Now, Niall has stepped into one of the iconic red spinning chairs as a mentor and judge in "The Voice" - a top-rated singing show.
Niall is undoubtedly no stranger to fame, with an estimated net worth of $70 million, as reported by Celebrity Net Worth.
Figures recently released by the Irish Mirror indicate that Niall, singer-songwriter and founder of two Irish music companies, earned a total $9.09 million in 2017.

Unfortunately, due to the onset of the global pandemic, plans for a promotional tour were canceled. Fast-forwarding three years into the future, it has been announced that in June 2023, Niall Horan will be releasing his third album.
