In an unexpected twist of events, it has been reported that Kevin Federline, ex-husband to Britney Spears and father to their two teenage sons, orchestrated an intervention for her.
This new development is another scandalous saga involving the "Baby One More Time" singer.
Radar has learned that multiple hours of unseen video exist between K-Fed and the journalist who quoted him, in which he reportedly feared his ex-wife was using methamphetamine. The footage is yet to be released publicly.
Those familiar with the 2022 documentary production reported that a substantial amount of footage was taken from Federline's Los Angeles residence, featuring exchanges between Kevin and Daphne Barak.
On Monday, The Mail on Sunday further verified these statements made by Daphne.
According to a statement released by the British outlet, "Daphne Barak has assured us that the quotes attributed to Kevin and the family are accurate and fairly reflect the interviews conducted in which Kevin told Daphne, her producer Erbil Gunasti and members of the film crew that Britney might be using crystal meth. He did so clearly and repeatedly."
They even said, "Kevin also made it clear to Daphne that he hoped someone would expose the situation as he saw it because that would be the way to get help for Britney."
Kevin, who has had sole custody of Preston and Jayden, both 17 and 16, responded to Daphne's much-discussed report with a statement of his own.
Kevin Federline said in his statement, "It saddens our family that Daphne Barak and Erbil Gunasti have decided to fabricate lies and publish the heartache our family has endured, along with the trauma of our minor children in the Daily Mail and The Sun."
"We did allow Daphne and Bill into our home because we trusted them, but that trust was lost, and we severed ties back in March for many reasons we chose not to go into here."
In response to the allegations, Britney exclaimed: "It's so saddening that people are saying things that aren't true... I'm not sure it's even them making these bizarre claims."
Nonetheless, someone close to the project stated to Radar Online: "Daphne won't be giving in anytime soon - and for a reason. The recordings don't deceive."
In light of her claims, she must prove to The Mail on Sunday and The Sun that Kevin had uttered those words.
For Kevin to dispute Daphne's reporting, he must reportedly be sure that he had never uttered such words in her presence, mainly when cameras were present. Knowing the caliber of journalist she is, Daphne would not let her credibility be impugned or compromised by anyone.
A snippet of Daphne's interview has been shown worldwide, from the UK to Australia and "60 Minutes."
The former husband spoke openly about the kids he shared with pop sensation Britney Spears not attending their mother's wedding to Sam Asghari nor wanting to see her.
