Slipknot fans have several musicians in mind as they try to guess who the band's new mysterious member is.
Slipknot moved on as quickly as possible as it shared a sneak peek of its new member soon after announcing Craig Jones' departure from the band. Nathan Church has already been linked to the group after the keyboardist's band, downthesun, played in one of the early shows of Slipknot.
As of press time, fans are speculating that one of the four keyboardists on their list could be the mysterious member, per Loudwire.
Nathan Church
As previously mentioned, the connection of Church's band led fans to assume he would replace Jones as the new keyboardist.
downthesun caught Slipknot's attention even after the band's failed attempts to win the Battle of the Bands decades ago. The buzz started on Twitter, and several users have since assumed that Church was the one who already played in the band's first set of shows without Jones.
"So it seems that @slipknot has signed Nathan Church from the band "DowntheSun" as Craig Jones replacement as sampler. #slipknot," one Twitter user said, while the other added, "nathan church from "downthesun" is craig jones replacement in slipknot."

Stone Sour's Roy Mayorga
Although Roy Mayorga has been playing the drums for several bands - Stone Sour, Channel Zero, Hellyeah, and Amebix, to name a few - he has been showing off his talent in playing the keyboard.
In addition, he has a direct connection with Slipknot's current member, Corey Taylor, as he previously fronted Stone Sour when Mayorga joined in 2006.
The Black Dots of Death's Kyle Sherrod
Kyle Sherrod once worked with Clown in the post-punk/nu-industrial project, The Black Dots of Death, where he played the keyboards. He also collaborated with the Slipknot member in the feature length, "Officer Downe," to create its theme.
To My Surprise's Dorothy Hecht
Clown previously formed To My Surprise in 2002, but the band did not reach the same amount of success as his other bands did.
Still, it welcomed Dorothy Hecht as the vocalist and keyboardist of the alt-rock group, making her one of the potential keyboardists who replaced Jones for good.
While Slipknot is yet to reveal its new member's identity, it already performed with the mysterious musician at the Nova Rock Festival earlier this month. The new member already wowed the fans as he smoothly performed Slipknot's hit songs, including "Yen," "The Blister Exists," and "Liberate."
