After a video of Bebe Rexha collapsing onstage sent her fans at a frenzy, the singer finally gave the worried people on the Internet an update on how she has been doing after the shocking accident.
While performing at The Rooftop of Pier 17 in New York City, a fan threw Bebe Rexha a phone which landed on her face, prompting the singer to fell down to her knees.
Bebe Rexha Phone Injury Update
In a TikTok video she posted earlier today, Jun. 19, 2023, the "I'm Good (Blue)" singer said that she was "good" and was feeling "alright" after the phone injury accident. While she was singing the chorus part of her famous song, Bebe removed her black sunglasses, which concealed the horror that is her black eye.
The Grammy-nominated singer gave an affirming grin while she showed her swollen eyes, patched up with surgical tape. In the video, her left eye was visibly swollen, and no right amount of makeup could conceal the damaging injury she had received.
Thankfully, the singer seemed to be in good spirits and has now left the hospital, as she seemed to be in a car while recording the video.
As of this writing, the video has already reached 1.8 million views on the platform and has received over 4,500 comments, mainly outpouring of support and well wishes for her.
"The anger in my body right now....... i cant even say," a fan shared, expressing their anger toward the attacker.
"I hope you're ok, you didn't deserve that. Speedy recovery," a fan wished.
"I hope you feel better soon. You don't deserve what happened to you. You were so sweet," another commented.
Bebe Rexha Phone Injury Suspect Arrested
Meanwhile, the identity of the concertgoer who threw their phone at Bebe Rexha has been reportedly arrested. According to Rolling Stone journalist Tomas Mier, 27-year-old Manalapan, New Jersey native Nicolas Malvagna was arrested and charged with assault.
"The individual was taken into custody on scene and removed to the 1st Precinct for arrest processing. The aided female was removed by EMS to an area hospital in stable condition," the New York Police Department said in a statement.
In the video, Malvagna voluntarily came with the authorities and was escorted out of the premises. Check out the video below.
